Attorney Joseph Knape is an experienced litigator, having defended clients in over 40 jury trials. Joe is originally from Michigan and has made Central Florida his home. Often, when asked about why he takes on so many different cases, Joe politely replies, “This is my community, it’s just what I want to do. Prior to going solo, I worked for a legal aid organization representing victims of Domestic Violence in Final Injunction Hearings. The experience as a legal aid attorney was priceless. I was Attorney on more than one hundred Family Law cases. 

These included injunctions, dependency court, attorney ad litem work, child custody, and divorce matters. These types of cases require keeping an emotional perspective. I handle them with a delicate balance and will always keep your goals in mind. My work experience made me understand how to be a Family Lawyer.
